Overview

Tiny, kitsch-ceilinged West Village bar, one of the city's enduring lesbian and queer rooms.

Cubbyhole is a small West Village bar opened in 1994 on the site of earlier lesbian bars, widely cited as one of the few enduring lesbian and queer women's spaces in a city that has lost most of them. It is remembered as much for its crowd as for its decorated ceiling.
