438 Hudson Street · West Village, Manhattan40.7299° N / 74.0066° W

Overview

Long-running West Village lesbian bar, more recently reframed as a queer-women-centered space.

Henrietta Hudson opened on Hudson Street in 1991 and is among the longest-running lesbian bars in New York, in recent years explicitly reframing itself as a bar built by and for queer women and their people. It anchors a West Village geography of women's nightlife now largely vanished.
