Overview

'Sounds of Brazil' — a long-running home for Latin, Caribbean, African, and diaspora music.

S.O.B.'s (Sounds of Brazil) opened in 1982 and is often cited as a durable New York home for Brazilian, Latin, Caribbean, and African music, as well as early hip-hop and R&B showcases. It remains active, programming diaspora sounds the rest of the map often misses.
