The Saint
Overview
Private gay club built inside the former Fillmore East, remembered for its planetarium dome dancefloor.
Occupying the former Fillmore East, The Saint is remembered for an immersive domed dancefloor and a private, predominantly gay membership. It is often cited within accounts of early-1980s New York nightlife and the hi-NRG and disco continuum. Its history is also bound to the early years of the AIDS crisis, which many oral histories describe as central to the room's memory.
